Hi all, Hi EyesOnly,

I just discovered a problem with DoiTFast4u and DVDDecrypter.

I am backuping ScoobyDoo region 2. Original DVD is made of 3 titlesets. The interesting one is VTS01, containing additional scenes that normally come up with 2 different audio tracks, one being the standard audio and the other some director's commentary about these particular scenes.

In VTS01, there are 3 PGCs. In PGC2, IFOedit reports only 1 audio track as follows :

Audio 6: English (Dolby AC-3) 2ch 48Kbps (ID: 0x85, 0x86)

(Funnily, there is only one audio track and its numbered 6. Notice the "double" ID at the end, problems are related to this)

Problem is neither DoitFast4u nor DVDDecrypter (in demux mode) can demux the 2 audio streams from this IFO (0x85 and 0x86). Only 0X85 is extracted (standard audio track) and 0x86 is simply "forgotten" (director commentary).

I used DVDDecrypter in Direct Stream Copy mode to see what happened and I got one VOB from this PGC2. Then I used Vobrator on this VOB, and it really contained the 2 audio tracks, 0x85 and 0x86, which I could extract without a prob in VobRator.

So it seems it might be some DVDDecrypter problem, not dealing with this strange "double ID" audio track.

I thought I'd post it here anyway because it is something I noticed when using DoitFast4u, so to let the authors know about it. No doubt LghtningUK will read this anyway ;) It is probably not a real "Advanced authoring" direct question, but this "double ID" on the audio track doesn't really seem "basic" as far as authoring is concerned..

Did anybody experience this ? Is it a known problem I missed in the forums ? Eyes or Lightning, any clue ?

Thanks

Waldok

Definitely sounds like a DVD Decrypter issue. Light_UK should be able to help.
