:( Hello.
I have a bit of a problem when i Author a new dvdset.
I start with ripping with smartripper and then run dvd2avi 1.76
After that i use Vfapi to convert it so that CCE 2.50 can open it.
Encode the movie file to correct size .
Then i extract the ac3 and sup files from the vobs with vob-edit.
Extract the cell times with ifo-edit.
Now comes the problem.
When i load it all up in ifo-edit it authors the dvd-set but the audio sync is lost subs and movie looks correct but audio is behind,
a lot.aprox 5-7 maybe 10 seconds.
I have entered the audio delay but that is only 79 Ms how can it loose sync with that amount of time???
When i use dvd-decrypter to rip i enter the delay value given by the program, but if that is a negative number ifo edit Crashes.!!!!

Am i doing any serious errors while i encode or rip the ac3 streams???
I have tryed this at least 25 times and i always have the same error
it the vob-set.

Can anyone give me a hint here ,......Before i loose my mind!?

Well I have heard that IfoEdit doesn't like delays of less than -30ms for NTSC and -40ms for PAL. So if it is -79ms you can fix that with AC3DelayCorrector (In the downloads section on this site) to bring it above that magical barrier.

As for it going out of sync, I think if you Demux AC3s from the VOBs and have them joined together to make 1 file and there is a delay on each VOB, only the first VOBs delay is taken into account. With the others, when the next VOB file of the movie is accessed, and there should be say a 80ms delay, it just starts playing it, because the start of that VOB's AC3 was appended directly on the end of the last one, skipping the delay.

Or I could be full of crap and have no idea. But this happened to me before and it happened only on movies with delays on each VOB.
