is there a way to record audio that's coming from a clip, such as using a third party program. I tried winADR, but it only records using my mic, even if i mute it. I also tried sound forge, but it records very loud, and distorts the noise. thanks.!

If you're not worried about direct digital copy, just hook the out on your computer to another computer's in, and record from it. If you don't have that, you could loop back right into your own computer, but make sure the playback on line in is muted, and that it is selected as the source to record from. I would try the first scenario to avoid hardware damage in case your soundcard can't handle the loopback.
