Essentially, I'm trying to create a mixed disc of music videos I own. I've successful ripped the VOB's using prmarily DVDDecrypter. They play fine with Power DVD etc. (I ripped the VOB's with the video and audio fully intact, and they're absolutely perfect.)

Two questions.

First, apparently each title can only have 10 VOB files, including the title. If I have 15 music VOB's, do I label the VOB's vts_01_1 through vts_01_9 for title vts_01_0, and then vts_02_01 through vts_02_06 for title vts_02_00? (For a total of 15 music VOB's). I can onlly get 9 VOB's to play using the IFOEDIT player -- it craps out after that, so I want to check my titling/labelling.

Second, in IFOEDIT, what VOB Extra settings should I use -- ex: should I use Strip VOBID's, etc.? When I create the IFO's etc. using IFOEDIT, and then use IFOEDIT's ImgTools to create the image, then burn with DVDDecrypter, the disc cannot be read (I have a settop player which can play DVD+-RW's, and can burn mpeg's to be played no problem -- however, I want the VOB's because the mpeg's lose some quality, so I really want the VOB's -- bigscreen reasons etc.) So, my question is, are there any settings etc. I may be missing that are causing the image to be unplayable?

If you have 15 VOBs, there's a good chance you'll have to re-encode. If each VOB is 1GB then you have 15Gigs to reduce in size. That is pretty large so I would suggest at least 2 discs with half D1 resolution. So yeah in essence you'll have to split the VOBs the way you said, and do 2 discs to keep the quality up. But if they are alot smaller you could possibly fit them on 1 disc. How big are the VOBs all together?

IfoEdit only plays 9 VOBs sequentially because that is the standard. 9 plus the menu VOB per titleset for the DVD Standard.

As for the settings, use "strip VOB-IDs" if there is something in your VOBs you wish to take out. Click "Strip Streams" to take out any unwanted audio tracks and subtitles and click both "Correct..." ones. Also click all the VOB EXPERT Options at the top right corner and have a VOB Size of 1GB.

When burning, try downloading and using the LATEST NERO for burning the image.

Figured it out.

Number the VTS files (up to 99 of them) as follows: VTS_01_1 through VTS_01_99 . Use only 1 PGC for all of them.

Hope this helps someone.

Here's an old thread I remember on compilations. I suggested your way also in it. There's also another working option that mpucoder mentions. Can I create more than 1 Titleset in IFOEDIT (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=42989)
