subtitles alignement

Hi,

I own DVDs which subtitles are displaying in the middle of the screen, which is pretty annoying and disgracious...

I'd like to know if there's a way to change their y value in ifoedit, cause the rest of the structure is ok, and I don't want to reauthor the whole thing...

I have never seen that before. The answer is in the VOB files though. You might be able to use a subtitle program to do this like SubRip. I have never used it personally, never needed to.
You could use it to create a new Subtitle Stream and then remux it back into the VOB file. Have a look, I don't know if SubRip can do that but maybe look at the other Subtitle programs on offer or try an Authoring Program?
