video file recognized but not read

Help me please or I think I'm going to explode!
I just burned several cds and when I want to play it the video file is recognized, but when I open it, nothing happens: my "cd reader" (sorry for the mistake) keeps on reading the file without answering at all...any idea of what it could be and hox I could fix it?

I'm not sure I understand your symptoms, but there is a known problem with large .avi files and Windows XP, which seems to require a registry edit to solve. Here's one of several threads I found by searching:
