When making SVCDs I used VCDEasy to burn to a CDR because one of its nice features was the ability to create Chapters or Entry Points where ever you wanted them, or have it create Auto Chapters at a certain time Eg: Every 3 minutes. This was good for using the remote NEXT or PREV buttons to quickly jump through the movie.
DVD authoring seems a little different. I am using Ulead DVD Workshop to author, but it appears I cannot now create auto chapters every 3 minutes. Is there any authoring software out there that does offer this option??
Thanks

when u say u want to create autochapters u mean u r authoring a home made or a brand new dvd? or r u making a backup from an excisting one.
In the first case chapters has to be done manually in the second u can easily use ChapterXtractor or ScenChap depending on the programme u use to reauthor. Both scenarist and maestro have the ability to create either manual chapters or importing them from an ifo.

Make a scene list or chapter file that has points every three minutes for the duration of the movie. Save that file someplace, then just import it each time you make a new movie. You'll have to manually enter them once, but from there out, you can just use the template you made. You might have to remove chapter points that are past the end of the movie if you apply the template to a movie that isn't as long... or add more for longer ones, I'm not sure how maestro or scenarist would handle points past the end of the movie.
I believe DVD Quickbuilder has an auto-chapter function in it that does exactly what you want, if you can find the program.
Hope this helps!
