I dont exactly understand why procoder is supported in the latest build. From what i read on the forums even at 2pass at mastering quality it doesnt compare to cce @ 4pass. Now i do appreciate that dvd2svcd is trying out new encoders for his godsend app, but support for a $700 app that many people prolly cant afford, not to mention questionable quality is kind of confusing to me. Either way, keep up the good work with the app.

Easy explained. Users of ProCoder have told me that it's very very good when doing DV material. No matter what you think, the quality is in the eye of the beholder.

so $700 for canopus is too much but $1950 for CCE is OK? :D  :D

I'll add my three cents to what DVD2SVCD said only to confirm Canopus Procoder is really great at encoding DV material or AVI from analog sources. I've been using it ever since I tried it the first time. I think I won't be the only one to really thank DVD2SVCD for adding this option.

Canopus is slower than CCE but a VCD made with Canopus is perfectly readable in a Napa Reader. Also I've tried to encode a DVD anime to VCD with CCE, TMPGEnc and Canopus, and Canopus produces less pixelation. So in my opinion for VCD standar Canopus is the best encoder.
But I've found a bug in it. If you use a frameserver like avisynth and link2 or vfapi canopus will encode the file but with very big square pixels. żżż??? This doesn't happens if you first encode the video to an avi file (divx for example)
DO anyone knows a frameserver that doesn't produce this big and unfocus pixels with canopus?

Just to clarify:
Canopus Procoder is better at handling interlaced material, and CCE is better at progressive images.
Correct?

Im TMPG myself, cant afford any of those apps, especially since i just bought a dru500. Anyways now i understand that procoder has great support for DV, and i will take this forums word for it. Thanks again for magnificent upgrade d2s.
