I have a movie that has 3 PGCs in the main movie title set. After analysed the structure of the movie, I recognised this is a seamless branching movie, so I used DIF4U to rip by VOBID.

When it comes to put everything back in Scenarist Scenario, I realised there are two way of re-creating the original structure of the movie.

Could anybody please explain to me, in Scenarist Scenario, the different between:
1. Create title sets under the VTS_1 folder and then create a single PGC under each title set.
2. Create one title set under the VTS_1 and create all PGCs under one title set.

The only obvious difference that I can see in Scenarist is the chapter numbering, with method number 1, the chapter numbering restarted from 1 for each PGC. With method number 2, the chapter numbering continued from the last created PGC.

Both method produced one set of VTS title and 3 PGCs.

your question is answered in the IFO. Verify that you put each PGC in the correct title as IfoEdit shows you (normally each PGC has its own title, this is only not true in a few rare cases). In case you cannot locate this info here's a screenshot: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/images/ifoedit/ifoedit-td-vts1.gif The blue rectangles mark titles, the brown rectangles mark PGCs. And here's the corresponding scenario in Scenarist: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/images/scenarist/scenarist-trackedit-tdextras.gif
