1-pass QB 5.0.3 vs 1-pass QB 5.0.2 .. strange, some answers are needed

I have two computers. One with 5.0.2 and the other with 5.0.3.

I deleted all keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\divxnetworks\divx4windows on both computers.

I then created a 1-pass QB job on 5.0.2. In VirtualDub -> Vidéo, compression, 5.0.3 -> Configure.

The following keys were added (defaults):

RC Period = 2000
RC Reaction Period = 10
RC Reaction Ratio = 20
Max Quantizer = 12
Min Quantizer = 2

I then did the same thing one 5.0.3 and those keys are not there.

If I set the Quantizer to 2, the key VBR Quality v5 = 20 and if I set it to 31, VBR Quality v5 = 310.

Quality 1-pass QB 5.0.3. is not the same as 5.0.2 ????????

Also, sometimes when I change the encoder configuration and hit Ok, Ok the go back to VDub, the keys are not always updated in the registry.

I just changed the Quantizer from 2 to 31 and the registry still says 20. And yes, I did press f5 in the registry!!!!

Is VDub using the values in the Registry or the Quick Config CLI?

That's right, you don't have access to them in 5.0.3.

Not sure what you're saying.

Which keys? What DivX version?
