View Full Version : are there any known issues with beSweet's -payload a/o list-files?

Hi DSPguru and others!
I just went through the beSweet FAQ over-and-over again, but couldn't find a matching line...
According to the FAQ, joining multiple audio files of the same kind w/o any alteration is only a matter of a plain-ASCII list-file and option '-payload' - or did I mis-understand anything so far?
okay - I need a special VOBInput.dll which I got now, but:
>> when trying to join .ac3 files it only writes the very first input-file into the output and then just hangs and wastes a lot of CPU time (the output byte-count line is continuously flickering, but NOT increasing)!
>> when trying to join .wav files it complains about:
"Error 32: No input-data was found (wrong substream?)"
>> when trying to CONVERT this wav-list into .ac3 it generates a GPF!
I'm using beSweet v1.5b15 now but this STILL does not work (e.g. joining .ac3's never worked with any version so far!)
@ Windows XP Pro SP1 (german)
The input-streams are okay - in fact, they were generated via beSweet itself previously...
any help appreciated!

well - if you meant >1. I believe I found a bug...< then: WHAT if I'm not sure whether it's a bug or just a mis-use of the program? should I then ALSO submit a bug-report?
If you as the author consider every little non-working part of your program to be caused by a bug and not by the mis-use of parameters or whatever, then... then you're the noblest programmer I ever have met :)
However, here is the bug(?)-report:
- well, in fact: -payloading .WAV files work well in v1.4

another 'problem' - but this time the GUI - is that when input is an .lst output is always also an .lst !
The fault which is raised upon trying to convert that list (same as above) to AC3 is following (beSweet v1.5b15):
<gpf>
AppName: besweet.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106 Offset: 000255e9
</gpf>
This -- AGAIN -- actually *is* working with v1.4!!

what I noticed there is that the Channels Mode should *not* be 5.1 for a stereo-wav input...
well, finally -payloading a list of ac3 files...

the same for v1.5b15:
...strange I got the same error here as for the wav-lst reported earlier...
no more freezing beSweet... strange...
However It seems to be more a problem of the v1.5b15 version than a general bug or a mis-use... so at last the bug-report is correct here :)
