View Full Version : AacMachine/BeSweet Problems

I'm having problems with AacMachine. Whenever I manually set the gain and press Give me AAC!, it freezes. If I set it to auto-find maximum gain, it works and splits the ac3 file. BeSplit comes up to "proess" the segments but promptly closes right after opened. It deletes all ac3 segments and leaves empty aac and wave files in the destination folder. All paths to the various applications are valid, and azid.dll is in BeSweet's folder. My suspicion is that solving one of the problems will solve the other.

The one thing that I notice is that BeSweet doesn't come up at all after finding the maximum gain. I assume that this isn't normal, as BeSplit looks for the aac files that haven't been created yet. I don't know why this doesn't happen; the path to BeSweet.exe is definitely correct.

My settings:
-3db LFE->LR
surround2 channels mode (from a 5.1 ac3)
normal dynamic compression
aac vbr preset normal
output to log file
256sec segment size
126min track size

Here's my log for when I let it auto-find the gain:

I think that I'm probably missing something really stupid. What's going on?

if you set to autogain the logfile includes BeSweet processing, and if the gain value is manualy set, BeSweet isn't involved at all ?

When the gain value is manually set, AACMachine completely freezes as soon as I start the process. I have to use the task manager to end it.
When it is set to automatically find the value, it finds the gain, splits the file, and then tries to join the aac files without creating them first. The big problem is that the ac3 isn't being transcoded. It just skips that step.

which BeSweet version were you using ? i don't c why the logfile doesn't include the BeSweet step.. (even if it failed).

I'm using BeSweet v1.4, BeSplit v0.82, and AACMachine v0.51.

Edit: Oh, yeah, I'm using Psytel aacenc v2.15, too. I guess I didn't really need to give you all of these version numbers, but it's possible that BeSweet isn't the problem here. If you think that it would be easier to discuss this via instant messaging (since there are only two people, and it's a question-and-answer thing), let me know.
