View Full Version : Instant Copy crashes?

I tried running Reservoir Dogs (10th anniversary edition) through Instant Copy, but it crashed half way through the process. Unfortunately I cannot remember the error it gave, but I think it was something about copying.

Anyone else have crashing probs?

@Toranaga

There is no audio limit when copying DVD > DVD :D

The audio limit kicks in if you do DVD > VCD or DVD > SVCD

-apparently-...never tried it....

I tried Bond-World is not enough. Crashed out at about 5% everytime, error in vobtrans.ax.

I re-ripped the movie as an iso and mounted it in Alcohol. Ran it thru Instantcopy and it worked like that.

I haven't tried another one yet.

Reservior Dogs was one of the movies that I could not copy using Instantcopy the other was the Rocky Horror picture Show. Instantcopy kept crashing just on these 2 movies.

I did these with DVD2one they worked fine.

Alcohol 120% is just a cd/dvd virtual drive maker, like Daemon Tools (sp). You rip the DVD as an ISO image and then "mount" the image as a virtual drive using the software. Since its ripped, it no longer has copy protection so Instantcopy will copy it from the virtual drive, instead of from the files on the harddrive.

With that said, I just did the Matrix. It locked up at 86% using a virtual drive (but World is not Enough did okay this way). I re-ripped it in file mode this time & tried it from the harddrive; it worked okay! (but Bond would not!!!) Doh!

So I don't know what to think. Some movies work one way, some another.
