View Full Version : Encoding at 48 kbit/s

I am currently trying to encode a movie for a Pocket Pc. From the files I've seen, the audio is set at 48 kbits/s, 44.1 Khz. When I setup these parameters using BeSweet and the GUI, it decodes the ac3 no problem, but Lame gives me an error code 47 and stops. I've used this program before with no problems at higher bitrates, so I'm wondering what switches or settings I should use.

-lame( -m a ) is invalid

Thanks for spotting it. I just left it at auto, figuring Lame would make the decision based upon the bitrate requirements.

Even after I changed the switch to stereo, I was still getting the error code 47. I almost was going to post again, when I decided to try not using ssrc and instead use Lame to downsample. Sure enough, everything encoded perfectly. Not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but I'm using the 1.5b5 version of BeSweet so it might.
