Have tried the instantcopy demo, and it is working just as advertised. However, it does not do any ivtc on telecined movies or de-interlacing for interlaced video. If instantcopy (or dvd2one) would add these functions it would make my choice of which one to support much easier!
Also, has anyone tried any of the copy protection profiles? There are settings for securom, laserlok, safedisk, etc. Will this program make exact dupes of these protected cds? Looks as though pinnacle is going to compete with other disk dupe software too? (clonecd, alcohol etc)

Are you sure you understand how exactly these programs work? If they were to touch the fundamental structure of the video (frame types, GOPs) everything would have to be reauthored. So, for the exact same reason that ReMPEG2 works to remux video streams in IfoEdit both InstantCopy and DVD2One could no longer work as they do. They leave out half of what is being done when a video is fully compressed from scratch.. if you start doing IVTC / Deinterlacing you can no longer do that, the encoding process would take as long as it takes with CCE and you'd need a full blown authoring program to put it all together.
