G'day all
My Ricoh Mp125A +RW/R Burner came with Ulead MovieFactory and Visual Studio, I didnt think much of this at the time but just tried them the last cpl days and they seem pretty damn useful, more so for turning movies already on the HDD into DVD.

Anyway the Menu abilities of this seems to be very limited to say the least, I see on the tutorials section ways to make menus with photoshop and other apps which are similar but they appear to do other unneccesary things, and looks pricey im wondering if theres any, preferabbly free, apps that just make menus for you?

Thanks in advance.

The freeware that came with your system, MsPaint can produce menu stills albeit with much more effort.

U can even make a few of them and combine them with a utilitie called bmp2avi to produce moving menus.

Ofcourse this approach would steal several days from your life for a simple moving menu, but what the .... nothing comes free in this life, does it? :p

The best value Menu audthoring software, in terms of the power it offers, is, IMHO, DVD Menu Studio, by MediaChance:

If you take the time to explore the capabilities of it, I think you'll see why it's such good value, depsite the $69 pricetag.

Hi!
I bought Ulead Moviefactory 2, and have been suffering through it. However, given my limited budget, it's the best for me.

I was wondering how I can create a template with a simple text menu for Moviefactory 2, instead of pictures. That way I can scroll down the text list to the chapter I wanted.

Thanks.
