Divx to DVD

I tried to convert a Divx movie to MPEG-2 DVD format with Tempg. The estimated time was around 23 hours in a P4 machine!!?!

Is that normal, usually it takes me 5 to 6 hours to reencode a similar movie of around 90 minutes. i have also tried CCE but it did not work.

Is there another faster program to so?!?!
