i heard of some 1 on divx that doom9.org are making a tool which will convert divx 3.11 codec to 5.02. is this true ??

It's more of a repack tool that will pack DivX3.11 movies in an MP4 container so that all players capable of handling MP4 files can play it (including hardware players supporting that format).
