Is there a software that will let you edit a DVD movie, i.e. trim out unwanted scenes, add second sound (music) and add text. Then reauthor a new DVD movie you customized. Just like the tons of home video editing software out there. I think I know that you can do it by converting the video files to .avi but it looks like it looses some quality in the video. My main purpose is to reduce the movie that's over 2hrs to fit on a single DVD-R. I do not want to reduce the bit rate and transcode it as I found it degrades the video quality, especially on fast pans and motions. There are scenes in the movie I just want to get rid of. I think some of you know what kind of movie I'm talking about :).
