I searched the forum but found no answer to my problem
so i think to post it now

I can't import .stl files saved in unicode in Maestro! It should be possible!
I saved the stl file in unicode(not ansi) in order to keep the content of the subs which were cyrillic. But maestro just doesn't accept them.

So how do i import .stl files with cyrillic characters?
Any IDEAS?

I'm curious what Oddysius has to say about this?

I can not say exactly about Maestro, since I am using Scenarist, but to my mind it is better to create .BMP images from your subs, using MaestroSBT, and than import as .son file. MaestroSBT handles cyrillic subs perfectly.

thanks that helped indeed!
I managed to fix them in maestroSBT.

But is there a way to get the cyrillic subs correct
with Subrip? so that there's no need to go through
maestroSBT?

Subrip 1.15 seems to change the font to "western"
everytime i set it to "cyrrilic"!!!
Maybe that's a bug?!

Possibly this is bug, but I do not understand why you need Cyrillic encoding in script, if you are getting BMP files from SubRip (I am steaking about SubRip output to .son file - Maestro format). Otherwise, if you are doing OCR in SubRip, than anyway you have to convert text format to BMP somehow - than MaestroSBT is the right tool.
I do not know about .stl format you mentioned, but I suppose, that Maestro (authoring program, I mean) will not handle Cyrillic encoding itself correctly.
