Fibola,
Hi! I've had excellent results using Vobsplit you can get it HERE (http://ftp.vit.edu.tw/pc/multimedia/). Along with Some other tools.
Most of the time I use it to trim the credits off of movies that are 200 - 300 mb to large for a single DVD. Then I replace the original VOB with the smaller "split" VOB in my VIDEO_TS folder. Next I run IfoEdit (Get VTS Sectors, make new Ifo's). Then I burn it with Image tools 0.99.9
Good Luck,
Bill
P.S. I use DVD2AVI to view the VOB and make sure it has everything I want.

Chopper is very easy to use and the results are perfect.
You just take the VOB and mark an in point and an out point and it creates a new VOB from the part between those points.
It seems to be slightly buggy (it crashes sometimes) but when it works it is quick an easy
I don't have a link here but it's been mentioned before here so a search of the forum will bring it up

hi!
i also need a tool which can cut vob-files. I want to cut out a specific part of a movie.
Is there any tool in which a specific frame-range can be defined to be saved?
fcchandlers vdub modification looks very good but i cant save the trimmed vob-file with it!

Hi,
VobSplit will work for that too. You can set the start and end split points in the program. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a preview feature so you'd have to guess as to where you start and end. If I come across another vob splitting program I'll post a link here.

Have you tried ChopperXP? I saw it featured today on the front page of doom9.org just click here (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Vobtools/chopperxp.zip)
It is supposed to have preview features.

chopperXP is for the NT kernel which is NT,2000 and XP
If you have 95/98 then get the normal version

Here's the link (http://com2.net/digitalminer/software/chopper.zip) to the Win 95/98/ME version
If use Windows 95/98/ME operating system use the older Chopper 1.0. Note that Chopper 1.0 works only on Windows 95/98/ME.
Download size - 0.99 MB
You will also require Microsoft visual basic 6.0 SP5 runtimes which can be found
here (http://a120.ms.a.microsoft.com/f/120/1611/2h/download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe)
