Can someone please be kind and explain how to use this software in a comprehensive way?

I guess once again I am gonna be insulted because of asking a question that all advanced users here already consider as an easy one!

But I guess this is the price to pay for me if I want to learn! ;)

Doom9's Guide (http://www.doom9.org/xvid.htm)

iago's Guide (.pdf) (http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?s=&postid=250483)

and the thread from which it comes:

The XviD portion of Koepi's site, where you can get his "XviD Options Explained" Guide:

http://roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml

Read them all. Memorize them all. Try some encodes. Come back if you get stuck.

Hi-

Thanks zulu. No offense to TheUnforgiven, but I don't know that program. Maybe I'll have to investigate it. By "perfectxvid", I thought he meant he wanted to make good encodings with XviD. Oh well. Sorry birdy.

Edit: I just looked it up, and now it all comes back. My opinion is that the last thing birdy should be fooling around with is Alt Curve Compression. With Koepi's StatsReader to scale the curve for the 2nd pass, he can't go wrong. Just my opinion though. Take it with a grain of salt.
