hi just got a new sound card (gamessurroung hercules fortiss 3) and connected my creative dtt3500 digital thru optical cable. now it was all working perfectly with sblive 5.1 but decided to change sound cardafter problems plAYing divx with ac3 sound.

now the only sound i get is in 2 speakers thru winamp or power dvd. all other softwares *bsplayer, wmpclassic6.4 coremediaplayer don't get sound at all. i am quite experience so tried all the settings.
is therea way of knowing if the dtt3500 spdif is working and could i fix it as i suspect it could be that or the optical cable?

or maybe there's another p[rob u guys can help thanx in advance

YES. Why haven't you read the FAQ ? Ac3 works well with divx aswell as dvd ... (with sb live series...)

it doesn't, the drivers are bad and the video is not smooth

If the video is not smooth, then you have used NanDub => you don't deserve a smooth video

i wasn't trying to be smart alexnoe, but there's seem to be a lot of issues with sblive. i tried to use and still using your excellent software but on some movies it's still stuttering and definitely not because of the filter, but the creative card. That's why i decided to buy the fortissimo iii but i got no sound in spdif mode and ac3filter doesn't show in the filter properties (wmp classic or coremediaplayer)and if it does (bs player)there' s still no sound. u got any help for this? the only sound i get is when playing dvd w power dvd and only off 2 speakers. i'm using an optical cable but nothing.
your help is very much appreciated

i wasn't trying to be smart alexnoe, but there's seem to be a lot of issues with sblive.Their drivers are not suggesting skilled programmers, that's true.

If it is stuttering, then you might need to change some settings (e.g. use an interleave of 250 kB in the latest pre-release) for muxing.

If the AC3 filter is not even loaded, then it is a problem with the filter.
If it is loaded, but you don't hear any sound, then it is probably a driver issue.

May installing a current WinDVD version helps (do have proper filters)
