View Full Version : probs getting the start menu to work - using ifoedit

I dunno what wrong I do... followed the dvd9 - dvd5 guide with ifoedit and all I have to do really is to strip away the uneccesseray menu extra features and some subtitles and I can fit the movie easily onto a blank dvd

I could get the first Universal Pictures logo to appear but the dvd doesnīt auto play tho. then it just freezes. I dunno what else I can do. Hope anyone can guide me and ask questiones if you need to know what I did, maybe I did something wrong but I did follow that guide till the transcoding, which I donīt need to do.

Your "Menu extras" button will help you strip unwanted VOB-Ids out of your movie menus. Your "VOB Extras" button will strip out unwanted VOB Ids in your movie. One strips menu and the other strips your movie. Okay, did you really wanted to strip out unwanted audios or subtitles out of your movie? Most of the time, that's all you need. It's rare you need to strip your menus.

Now, do you want your menu to display immediately when you insert your DVD? Exactly, what do you need to eliminate out of your DVD so that it will fit. You need to give more information on what you want to do.

ahh shit, I just wrote a long post and all just vanished cus it didnīt load the next page when I submitted it.. :(

but in short.. I did what the guide said (dvd9 to dvd5)
and I want to keep everything but the extra languages and the large vob files of bloobs and making of

that leaves me with 4.11 GB. But now lastly when I did it all again I got the menu to work but not the movie. Just black and it freezes when I try it in the DVD play inside ifoedit. When I cheked the vob movies all 5 of them.... it seems to have cut the beginning and I can hear sound on the last vob.. strange. I shouldnīt hear DTS in my computer...

getting tired of this, any suggestions?
