Hi all,
I want to encode the film.avs which I created using GKnot with Xvid format. The film is interlaced and I checked "deinterlace" on GKnot, while I create the film.avs.
So Do I need to check also the "enable interlacing" on Xvid settings tab.?
If You help me,I will be happy.
Thanks.

the film is interlaced
Umm, how do you have interlaced film? Unless you literally burn weird lines into Eastman/Kodak? :)

I think that canserkan meant that the movie or _film_ was interlaced. But, yes slightly confusing. :)

- "film" is British English (the REAL English)
- "movie" is American English (the weird English...)

Hi,
I'm happy for I have used the real english.
We already use as "film" in our language too.

@bb

British English, thats even more confusing. There are a few of languages in the UK, Gaelic, Welsh and many tounges of the languages. None of them are really like anything English at all. Look for something Welsh, it is the most messed up different, and non like anything else language in the world!

mweld â Gwyl Ryngwladol Wystrus Galway mae Amanda; bydd Sara Williams a'i merch Manon yn profi gweithgareddau antur cwmni 3D yn Barton Hall, ger Torquay a bydd Awen a Branwen yn cael ras ym man geni'r gêmau Olympaidd ar eu taith drên drwy'r Peloponnese.

That is a sample of welsh, crazy. First thing I found of www.s4c.co.uk (welsh TV channel, same company as the UK's channel 4 (the best channel, even out of SKY and Digital Cable/Sat).

U mean English English.

I thought I caughgt the first post intime to add the QUOTE without having to go through the grueling process of EDIT:)

I always thought we did quite well out of the DVD scene here in England, DVDs are huge here (not literally) and there are many useful programs that people actually use, as far as I can tell, none of that commercial 'after ripping 2 DVD's, it pays for itself' rubbish is made over here.

Man I hate that e-mail.

@Nic, something I always wanted to know, are you the Nick Page with the Digital Digest, Digital Solutions site? If so, cheers, it was the first page that I actually understood. If not, cheers for those builds n' stuff anyways, it's come in handy over the years:)

It was worth a try, Digital-Digest and DivX-Digest used to be my bible, now they contain too many adverts and Doom9 does it all the way for me, though I dont look at the guides anymore, they were a nice focal point to begin on, very useful, but as I am sure many agree, finding out things for yourself is tedious, time consuming and great fun!
