IfoEdit has an option VOB Size in the VOB Extra's menu. You can choose between 1GB, 700 MB, 650 MB and two custom sizes (at least, in version 0.95 you can).

Now how can I use the customized sizes? I would like to have 500 MB VOB files but I cannot customize the size here. Whatever I do, it starts splitting in files of size 2KB (resulting in a lot of files of course).

Any other means to reduce (or split) VOB files in multiple, smaller size VOB files would also be nice.

Thanks for the help!

cryptie,

I'm not at home to confirm this but try looking into your ripping program. I mainly used Smartripper and I think there is a feature in it on customized vob size. Look into DVD Decrypter also. I might be right or might be wrong but it doesn't hurt to check it out.

2Cool: Thanks, it works great!

FYI: in DVD Decrypter there were some more sizes available than in IfoEdit (being 780, 810, 870 MB) but Smartripper indeed supports custom sizes (in settings, use Max Size). This way I could fit more episodes of a series on each DVDR.

Thanks again!
