HI, I need to turn ON the subs of a DVD for a few seconds in the movie then turn them off again.

This Happens because there is a part of film spoken in German. I know this can be done (BLADE 2 AND M.I.B. do) but I don't know how it is possible. There is not a separate subpicture stream in the movie containing only the subs I need, there is the entire subs stream.

I think I must set some post-command with a range of frames where the subs must be on, but I don't know exactly how. Can someone help ?

Thanks a lot

2to1,

I know there's counter command that can reside in your IFOs but I'm don't have any knowledge on this. It's like, on some DVDs, when you don't select a button in your main menu, it starts to play your movie anyway after a certain time of no action.

Hmmm...a thought just entered my mind. Now, I'm not at home to view Blade 2 or MIB but are you sure it's not burnt into the movie and not a subtitle at time of language change? Like the way DVD-SCRs (DVD Screeners) are done with watermarks.

Great 2 cool but it's not, 'cause if I launch the plain VOB with PowerDVD no sub appear instead, if you play the VIDEO_TS.IFO, subs are there. I searched for cell commands but no one is there, there is no program chain command while in MIB there are lots of commands where a range of frames is efferctively defined, and it should be the answer, but there are 50 lines of precommands and 40 of post commands and I cannot write them one by one. I am talking about the italian version of the movie but I think that it is for all languages.
In MIB the subs appear when the keeper of the universe talks with his assistant in the pub before being killed by the Edgar-dressed killer. In BLADE2 the subs appear in the very beginning when the train passes by and the man is looking at the blood bank, before entering to donate blood for the first time...

flag your subs needed to be on as forced ones. I can tell u how to do it in Maestro. U have to figure how to in Scenarist or elsewhere.

Double click each one and tick the forced square top right of the window. U ll have them displayed no matter what your subs settings r.
