Calculating the average quantizer

What's the most accurate way to obtain the average quantizer value on a 2 pass encode? I've recently downloaded divxenc 1.10 which calculates it from the analyse.log, this way gives considerably better results than loading the second pass log in gknot.

Using the same encode, divxenc gives me an 2.893913 avg quant while gknot reports it at 3.353.

Anyone know which is the more accurate?
