5.1 from Stereo MP3??

Does anyone know for a plugin or program that willl take a Stereo MP3 and make it "virtual surround" so that is plays out of all the speakers on a 5.1 analogue setup.

If I play the MP3s in PowerDVD it comes out of all the speakers. But in Winamp it is just two. I think PowerDVD uses Dolby Pro-Logic 2 tp accomplish it. Was wondering if anyone knew of a similar program for WinAmp etc...

I don't know about any plugins, but perhaps you can set the speaker configuration to 5.1 surround via windows control panel.

Also the type of soundcard can make a difference. I had nforce built-in 5.1 sound which only gives me sound through the frontspeakers when playing stereo sound. But my soundblaster live uses all speakers, no matter what type of sound I play

It is a built in 5.1 sound card so there is no really software to do anything with it that is why I was hoping for a plugin for Winamp that worked like PowerDVD does.
