Thank you Nic i have used this build for two encodings now with GMC, CM, Qpel, and 3 Bframes and the results are super (no scary) and your decoder is working for me without any problems.

ffdshow seems to have a problem with your dsfilter but as a stand alone it's working great.

Nic's decoder works O.K., but only without postprocessing activating. When PP activated, subtitles (e.g. via DirectVobSub) are timingless.

@Shayne: Good stuff :)
"ffdshow seems to have a problem with your dsfilter" ?? Could you explain that anymore, so I can try and work on the problem :) Cheers.

@HarryM: Hmmm, I honestly dont know why (or even how) that could be. I must be missing something really obvious. Ill get some time & trace through to find out what im doing wrong. :)

Cheers,
-Nic

Well as i said i really have no problems playing the encoding at all with ffdshow or your ds filter. However if i set ffdshow to use Xvid i get this

great stuff, there's very, very nice qpel (no b-frames) decoding with this build's ds filter

Where do I get a decoder that will work with Xvid B-Frames? I have been having the same problem as above, but it also uses all my cpu to do it too. I can only get about 7 fps decoded, and I know it isn't because my computer is too slow. I have a Atholon XP 2000+.

@TelemachusMH
I never got stuck with this problem. Try installing Nic' release (06/02/03) AND ffdshow. Try ffdshow with xvid checked and unchecked.
Till 02/02/03 i can watch only with ffdshow decoder after installing nic'DS i can use even xvid.
The image posted is taken from vdub. are you sure using the latest version (or at last virtualdubmod) ?

That is what I have now, but I found the problem actually. I don't think my ATI AIW 129 likes the YV12 output, when I disabled it everything played with only half the cpu. Although, the picture is jerky. Is there anything that might fix that?

hey nic(koepi too :)) is it possible for you to make also
P4 optimized builds? :p

(i just love P4-optimized oggenc which simply owns non-optimized version :D)

Nic:

I am Tested Nick's Build (6.2.2003). With oversize I have not problem, but if avi file playback, subtitles is out.
Using Zoom Player / DivXG400 v.2.7
approach to Subtitles find right, only with no on screen.
With Koepi's Build (2.2.2003) and uManiac's Build (9.2.2003) this problem isn't.

(Sorry for my English )
