after encoding the movie, it always stops playing the video when the first keyframe is arrived.

any help with this?

because 4 pass divx-encoded look fine(at least the first 10 seconds when using keyframe every 250 frames)

edit some infos:

using divx5enc 5.11, divx5.03
avisynth 2.5
mpeg2dec3
virtualdub mod
(yv12 encoding)

Have you tried to make the same process manually with vdub?

i donīt know why BUT
playback works fine after installing divx 5.03 although the content was encoded with divx 5.02

how can THAT be?!?

i removed all divx*.* files from windows directory before installing 5.02 then encoded the movie and video freezed when reaching the first keyframe. after installing 5.03 it just wurks fine..

So if i understand well:

- First encode with divx5enc 1.11 + divx5.03 = freezed
- Second encode with (divx5enc 1.10? or manually?) + divx5.02 = freezed
- Installed divx5.03 and the movie now plays fine.

Is this correct?

First encode with divx5enc 1.11 + divx5.03 = freezed
Second encode with (divx5enc 1.10) + divx5.02 = freezed
Installed divx5.03 and the movie now plays fine.

correct

more obscure was: in virtualdub the movie could be seeked completely... so it wasnīt a problem in encoding but in decoding..

as of now, 4 more movies (4 pass 5.03) work just fine..
no more problems..
probably it was just a problem between divx codecs

so far i havenīt spotted any bugs in divx5enc 1.11

gordian knot till creation of avs --> save, then divx5enc 1.11 and finally muxing divx and the original ac3 works like a charm

BIG thanx for this great product..
if it had (like gknot) a function which would afterwards mux the encoded movie via virtualdubmod with a audiotrack it would be the perfect tool for me.

For now DivX5Enc development is freezed :)
I'm working on a new tool and i'm not going to modify D5E until i finish this new tool (in the hope that divx5.0.? don't came out those days :D).
