hi all sansgrip fan & others!

i'm very upset about watching the disappear of some very talented devels (markfd, sansgrip, ...) but that's it.
my question; is it possible to take care of their filters left behind. i mean debugging, recompilation, possible improvement(s). afaik, they all were released under gpl, so there's no 'legal' obstacle (i guess). if so, is there anyone round here ready to do it?

as mark left the very last versions of his filters behind, i mean here esp that of sansgrip. after some heavy fight i kicked avs2.5b alive, but it turned out:
- blockbuster not accepted ('not a 2.5 dll')
- nomosmoth not accepted (the same)
- fluxsmooth accepted but produced some very strange effects (more tests needed)

from their readmes & sources it seems as if they included (some core of) yv12 support. imho, it'd not mean too much effort to 'comb/brush up' & to make clear 2.5 ports. i'm too weak in progging to do that, but i don't want to depart from bb & nms.

i've mentioned it in an other thread but i think it worth its own.

thx in adv
yaz

ps
- cruncher dropped a version of bb in an other thread, but no readme or even a comment.
- if anyone could suggest a 2.5 replacement of nms, pls, lemme know. aw, i can't use such heavy guns like con3d on my good old cel2, so, mmx only, pls.

Well I think alot of us are really interested in them but maybe most are like me without any kind of coding/compiling experience:(

It's odd how SansGrip has disappeared after so much work here. Hopefully everything is ok and he can return soon.

BTW- The BB 2.5 build that Cruncher kindly uploaded works fine.

There are a lot of people interested. We could do this with Marc FD's filters after asking his permission (although not necessary in the strict sense). For Sansgrip's filters, I have no reason to believe that he stopped his development. Just wait before he's back from holidays or whatever he's doing.

Yep, one more vote here from my end, as one of the most enthusiastic testers/users of SansGrip's excellent filters! ;)

However, I agree with Wilbert that there's no reason to suppose he stopped developing. I hope that he will be back soon, from wherever he might have disappeared! ;)

best regards,
iago

I think you'll find SansGrip more at the XVCD forum.
