hi

anyone knows a fast way to save single frames from a divx (i need this to compare differeces between 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 pass encoding with divx 5.0.3)?

now i'm using the "capture area" function of paint shop pro and i'm saving .psp files ('cause jpeg compress too much the details) and i'm using vdub to open the movie so i can select always the same frames...

i've seen that there is an option to save bitmap images with vdub, but it saves every frames of the movie in a bitmap's series... and i think this is a little excessive :)

thanx for your help

Just load the avi into VirtualDub, go to the frame you want to copy and choose 'copy source frame to clipboard' from the 'video'-menue. Then create a new file in Paintshop or anywhere else and paste it from the clipboard.
