I continue to experience this problem with DVD2ONE. The program stops part way through and tells me it has encounted encryption does not work on encrypted files.

I have tried ripping with both Smartripper and DVDdecrypter. I've even let DVD2SVCD do the ripping. I've also tried ripping the DVD to am image with DVDdecrypter, mounting the image, and ripping the image with Smartripper.

I've tried formatting my hard drive and doing a clean install of WinXP. I've tried ripping from my DVD-R drive (Pioneer 104), and reinstalling my old DVD Rom and ripping from there.

Files I've ripped with any of these methods work in other encoders without any trouble, only DVD2ONE has a problem with them.

Anyone have an idea on how I might force DVD2ONE to see the files as uncrypted, or have an idea what might be wrong with my system that would cause DVD2ONE to see my files as encrypted?

On the same rip, multiple attempts to run DVD2ONE result in the failure at different points, not always at the same place.

There has been one exception where I was able to have DVD2ONE complete the transcode of Chasing Amy. I had let DVD2SVCD rip with its interneral tools just the main movie files. After it was done I burned the result and it was perfect. I immediately tried to recreate the success with another DVD (no changes made to my machine in the meantime) and got the encryption error again.

Any ideas/thoughts/feedback appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm running WinXP Home Edition
Athalon T-Bird 900
256 Megs of Ram
30 get HD
Pioneer DVD-R 104 (master on its on chan)
Radeon A-I-W 32

Most errors like this are caused by hardware problems. Overclocked CPU, marginal memory, RAID arrays, etc. It can appear only in one program due to a number of reasons, system stress being the most usual (how much demand the program places on the components).

My system isn't overclocked, and i'm not running a RAID array...its also been the only program running during these attempts...I suppose it could be a problem wiht my memory though.

Thanks for the help.

I got it also. Don't remember the title... I was just testing and didn't care at the time. It's almost certainly a bug.

No clue. This question is for the DVD2one author...
