Try demuxing and remuxing in Vdub. Most likely the issue is in the source AVI.

i know it may sound strange, but try converting to 192 audio instead of 128. i know this has fixed problems like this before.

Hi-
audio is mp3 48kbps !
Can BeSweet handle audio of that poor a quality? And is it a mono track? My suggestion is to extract the audio from the .avi, convert to .wav (and convert to stereo if mono), mux the .wav back into the avi, and try again.
Either that or convert it manually to .mp2, rename it as DVD2SVCD does, and use the Recovery console to continue.

Ah did not consider that. If it's a Mono track I don't think DVD2SVCD is going to be able to convert this at all.
Sadly you might just be out of luck. See if you can't get a source of higher quality.

Not really a BeSweet problem, but obviously a problem with the HIP decoder: I just wanted to use BeSweet to convert a bunch of MP3 files to WAV for burning onto an audio CD. Several MP3 files brought the same errors (and finally a GPF).

Not all the files from the same source provoked this failure. Most of them had 320 kbps. And the MAD decoder (from the MADplay bundle 0.15) had no problems decoding them all - so until further investigation, I'll try a heavy workaround: Decode with MAD to 24b / boost with WaveBooster (encode with LAME). Just like in old times, before BeSweet was made... ;)

Same problem here with BeSweet v1.5b29 by DSPguru.
Used in AVI2DVD by TrustFm.
The type of avi used has been worked 2 days ago.
The only thing i can imagine is two:
Some drivers for SHARP mobile that needed to play the music of my mobile videos.
