i used dvddecrypter in ifo mode to decrypt & strip unwanted streams. used Ifoedit to create IFO files. the movie size was around 6 GB after the strip of unwanted streams. Ran DVD2One. The resulting movie was over 5 GB!!!

i used dvddecrypter in file mode of the same movie. Then used DVD2One to strip the same unwanted streams. The resulting movie (incl IFO files) was 4.37GB!!! right on the mark.

Looks like DVD2One doesnt like the IFO files created by Ifoedit. any thoughts or ideas?

not sure if this will help or not and it's really just common sense, but...

...make sure the IFO files that IFOEdit makes for you are named to match the number of the VTS...VOB's you're working with.

IFOEdit names the default IFO's it creates: VTS_01_0.IFO

just be sure to make certain that your VTS numbers for your IFO's and your VOB's match. simply rename the IFO to match your VOB title set. if they don't, then DVD2One...will give an error when you go to process.

i know this seems really obvious, but sometimes it's the little things that trip us up....

hope this helps at least one person out there...

the IFO file names r ok. can view the movie fine in the ifoedit DVD player. DVD2ONe processing of the movie is also ok. the only problem is the size of the DVD2One generated file - much bigger than 4.38GB.

If I use DVDDecrypter file mode and process the movie with DVD2One, the output is PERFECT!!!

And that is the way DVD2One is intended to work. It is very easy to produce an incorrect set of files with IfoEdit, and, even though they play, there can be subtle errors that cause another program, such as DVD2One, to make mistakes.
