View Full Version : A/V delay in OGM

The problem I have is that I want to convert a film with AC3 5.1 sound to a film with OGG stereo. I have done this several times and there are no problems, but in this case the audio in the original film goes a few milliseconds before video.

I normally use Besweet 1.4 to encode audio. I have tried to put a delay while encoding, but it seems not to work.

Is there any tool to put a delay between audio and video in an OGM file? (Similar to what Virtualdub does with AVIs).

I have tried VirtualdubMod, but delay only works with avi files. Thank you anyway.

file -> open video file
ogm -> show inputs -> add [your .ac3] -> delay by (ms)

;)

OGMuxer can do it definitively and Virualdubmod should be able to do it too

Thanks bond, I didn't know that functionallity. I just was trying to use the A/V delay from the audio menu like in virtualdub. This way it works perfect.

How can I do with OGMuxer. I have looked application help, but I don't find any option to delay streams.

in Ogg machine using besweet u can set the delay from there so it makes an ogg file with O delay ie original AC3 with -88ms of delay or something . tick the box for set delay in ogg machine and itll produce xxx.ogg with 0 Delay

hope that helps JEREMY

Suiryc coded a small app which can add/remove frames/pakets from ogg soundfiles. I'll add that to OggMux if I find some time to code again.
