thank you very very much: with your help now i heard divx with dts soundtrack.
I had the solution under my eyes, but I don't saw it.
I ask you just two last questions:

1) Are there particular settings for avi mux gui (interleave, etc.....) or can I use default settings?

2) Now I haven't a dts external decoder, but I'll buy it early:
it's all right if i select SPDIF in winDVD 4.5?
is windvd able to correctly split the audio stream from the video stream, and send the audio stream to SPDIF output?

Argh....this thread just reminds me of a bug which needs to be taken care of...

BUG 2!!! => frame length us FSIZE+1, not only fsize :( It was a veeeeery good idea to label this stuff as "beta"!

I've uploaded the latest pre-release. The problem with demuxing appearently was the wrong frame size...not any crap data in the stream :(
