View Full Version : Is (IT) the IVTC plugin available for 2.5?

I'm a huge fan of this IVTC plugin and am dying to see it for AS 2.5. Anyone got some info on whether or not a compatible version will be released?

*BTW, as you can tell it's impossible to do a search on a stupid filter called IT. Hah.

Unfortunately I do not think the source for this plugin was ever released, and from what I recall it was written by a Japanese gentlemen so you'd have to find who it was who wrote it. If you need to ask him if he's written it, I could@try to tell you what to ask him in Japanese, but I'm not good at technical stuff. ^_^

LB, IVTC plugin wasn't updated for a year or so, so you got bad chances it will ever be converted to YUY2.

Maybe it's time to switch to Decomb? ;-)

FYI there is still the occasional source where Decomb 4.05 will screw up particular scenes on (even with various combinations of guidance/threshold) but IVTC() will render those scenes perfectly. When that happens I do the whole film in Decomb but splice in those troublesome scenes from an encode done with IVTC()

BTW I think we're talking about two different filters here. The person who began the thread is talking about "IT" by some Japanese fellow. I'm assuming Outpinged is referring to the IVTC() plugin by Wizard_FL who actually used to frequent this board some time ago.

Actually, I believe it was released and still is! Someone posted a link to it in these forums. A search may find it. However, I believe it is not as good as decomb, which is what OUTPinged_ was trying to say (i think). Of course, experiment for yourself and find the one best suited to your needs.

Bye,

Dali

OK, here you go. Of course, it's YUY2 only.

That's great. I've tried all the different IVTC plugins and find that IT.dll is the best, hands down. I deal mainly with anime and found that IT.dll will do one of two things:

1. not work at all and give you garbage output
2. work perfect, 100% flawless IVTC with nothing to configure

It seems that on older anime, slayers, etc is where it has the problems, but on new films, I only use IT.dll. I would recommend anyone else that is struggling with a good IVTC plugin to try this out. Can't go wrong. Oh, and if there was any confusion (and hence the reason I tagged a .dll on the names was that), IT.dll != IVTC.dll They are both seperate plugins. I think IVTC.dll needs a HECK of a lot more tweeking on the users end while IT.dll either works or doesnt. And btw, thanks for the 2.5 version!

thanx:confused: This is what I decoded from the Japanese help file (ref is probably top/bottom field first):

IT(fps=24,ref="TOP",blend=false)

ref
"TOP"
"BOTTOM"

fps
24
30

blend
true
false

Hello, I've been told by someone on another forum that there is a YV12 version of IT on this forum somewhere, but I have been searching forever and havn't found a thing. So is there a YV12 version and where can I get it? Thanks for your time.

I've never seen one and I make it my business to keep up on all things related to interlacing.

diMode (deinterlaceMode, maybe.)
0: not deinterlace.
1: deinterlace by using the same way as IT v0.051. (default)
2: simply blend.
3: compensate fields.

I explained dimode in a post last week. It might also be helpful.

If you read my linked post, it includes a short description of the possible side effects that may be encountered on some clips that I found whle using IT. Thats why I linked to it, to add to the post above.

The other post is a translation of the readme file which is in Japanese.
