hdtv capture card

Hello,

Are there any hdtv capture cards on the market that will capture an hdtv stream directly from the air and dump it to a file which can be played back with an mpeg2 decoder? What I'm really looking for is a direct stream capture, not a re-encode like I've seen some wintv hdtv cards that re-encode to an avi file, etc.

Pretty much all of the HDTV cards do what you are describing. MyHD and HiPix certainly do. They do a raw dump of the ATSC transport stream, sub-channels and all, at about 8 GB/hr to your hard disk.
