I'm stuck and lost. I want to convert my vob files to an avi/divx. I tried easydivx, but it kept freezing. Then I moved on to dvd2avi and had no luck with the sound. I was wondering if someone could recommend a stable, user friendly program for this type of conversion. Thanks.

He's right. GKnot was really a great tool used for VOB to DivX/AVI conversion. Sure, it could be improved, but that would most likely take an entire team of programmers.

Check this tutorial, it might help:

For a more advanced and in-depth tutorial: (Who'd want that?)

I wrote the second one, so it sucks and is out of date, but it might help. :scared:

Thank you. Most of my friends say it's too hard because they like DVD2SVCD

Maybe I'll add screen shots some day... :scared:

DVX might be a alternative to Gordian Knot, it is rich featured and easy to use
