If I capture with VDub 1.4.13 for a long time, let's say about 3h... I got some dropped frames (VHS source), but the original capture (DivX5 compressed real-time, sound PCM) it's OK.
- I've tried with the modified_sync version with 0 dropped frames, but the result it's a desync capture from the start.... -
So, after the compression in mp3 with direct stream copy, the result is an "additive" desync, which gets very disturbing/annoying (too big desync) after 45min-1h.... if I split the 3h source in 3 clips, every one being below ~50 min for example, the compression works fine and the sync looks OK. Appending them with VirtualDUB or any other AVI Joiner causes the same desync again.
Demuxing the sound, compressing it with lame and re-muxing it with VirtualDUB, VirtualDUBMod, Nandub, etc (anything) causes the same desync (even bigger).
All of the above, trying to enable/disable the mp3 correction in options/preferences doesn't work....
I've tried any interleaving values, read all the guides and the search results...nothing. It seems imposibile to capture a 3h clip, compresing the audio and staying in sync
Why ? :(
