Hi,
I'm looking for a method of transferring VHS to the PC. I have a Pinnacle DC10+ card, and I acquire the footage in MJPEG format.
If I give up one field, the result is not interlaced and can be encoded in any format.
I want to know how to encode interlaced AVIs in MPEG format, if possible. Some pointers to a HOWTO, software, anything would be appreciated.
For playback I could use my trusted Dxr3 card (HollywoodPlus clone).
Before you ask, the source to be encoded is just family stuff, short clips taped with a Sony Hi8 camcorder.
