View Full Version : cant rip... dvd not even recognized!

heyas!

i was just trying to rip a dvd, but not a single ripper did "see the dvd" at all (dvd2svcd did say "no ifo file", but not sure wether the dvd has one). same to power dvd.

the dvd can be played as normal in my standalone.

what can i do now?

Very unusal assuming you DVD drive is ok.
Have a look at ISObuster (http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/) (1.2mb) and see if it can pick up anything.

i use it for reading/extracting from cd images...

hey cool... a bit smarter now =))

it shows files at least... extracting shows errors (ignoring all now) and wait. hope it works ;P

Well....ok. The disc is dirty/defective. You've probably tried cleaning it already. If you have ignored all errors in isobuster you will be sitting there a long time for that to finish. A cd-r is bad enough!
