Anyone Know how to use Mencoder for DVD

to DVD encoding. I do not want to do DIVX. I have a dvd-writer and want to encode at a lower bitrate for dvd-mpeg2. Which codec do I use and where do I set the bit rate? I see documentation for DIVX everywhere but not for mpeg - mpeg.

I'm not 100% sure, but MPlayer does not support MPEG-2 encoding..... yet.

MPEG-2 is actually the major drawback in linux-encoding :(

Only constant quantizer, or even only CBR :rolleyes:
