Ripping from Sun/Solaris

Hi,
I have a Sun/Solaris with a DVD reader.
How can I rip a DVD from that?
I tried to export the DVD unit via samba, but I can't use a ripper sw from my PC.

im not sure, but could you use WINE (windows emulator) to run your PC programs?
