I ripped lord of the rings 1 to the hard drive (dvd decrypter) only to find I can't play it with no player. Tried powerdvd, windvd and zoom player with no luck. When I open IFO file, hard drive LED just lights up for a moment and then stops. No error messages, nothing. I followod every step in the doom9 guide.

What's the catch? Usually I can play the dvd without any hassle, but few times I encountered the same problem - after rip to the hard drive I just can't play the damn thing.

You have to copy the entire DVD to your hard disk("File" or "ISO" mode not "IFO"), not just the main movie.

Hmm. I will have to try to experiment. I want the minimum amount of files on the hard drive.

Thanks
