Hey all,

I was wondering what most ppl thought was the best filter to sharpen. I usually... always encoding anime, and some of it is older and could use a lil tuning up, and i find that just the regular sharpen filter in Vdub works pretty well at a low setting, i would like a better one, if there is one ^_^;;

The other part is, i'm sure the may not even be such a thing but is there a filter, a good one, that will get rid of the "rainbow-effect" (moire is it?) and will not take ~20 hrs to encode 25 mins of video! No way will i do that for 26 episodes of bebop, heheh.

-Thanx

Well, since no one seems to want to reply, i'll do it myself! ^_~

I have found plenty of shrapen filters, guess i just didn't look very well before, but i am still at a loss for a "rainbow" filter, that does not take a ridiculous amount of time to encode 30mins. Well thanx, and plz! any leads are good! ^_^

I don't usually encode anime but I believe the AveryLee's Warpsharp filter is VERY good for anime or what I usually call cartoons :D
It can be found here. (http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters)

If you want you can find a avisynth version from Donald Graft here. (http://shelob.mordor.net/dgraft/warpsharp.zip)
Worked fine for me when encoding Urotsukidoji - Legend of the Overfiend.

Good Luck.
