I am trying to take "Backup of some DVDs that i own" but facing problems. Smartripper shows - Current Key - "not encrypted" but at the 4th of 5th VOD file it gets stuck and start showing broken blocks and almost stops. moves forward at 0.1x for some times then stops. I tried check keys every vod file and every cell and all that but of no use. vStrip and DVD Decrpyter also stops at the same point giving error messeges like damaged DVD or something, they also show that the DVDs dont have any key. The movie plays just fine in a regular DVD player (standalone one not the comp one like Sony Panasonic etc) but freezes or jurks for a fraction of sec at the same point. The movie stops on a comp DVD player at the same point with error message like "DVD damaged" or something. I tried several DVD player s/w but all have same problem.
Lastly the DVDs are not of English or europian movies but asian movies (southeast asian) are manufactured in US or canada and sold for US or Canada only, they are in NTSE.
Plz Help
Thx

Give me the exact error my program throws out. That is exactly what the drive itself reports. Forget what all the other programs say, they just make the stuff up.

Looks like a faulty disc. Get it replaced.
Forget about it playing / not playing in a standalone...those things would play records if they'd fit in the tray!
