CCE Wont Run for me.........

I have never used this prog b4 but am interested in trying ......
I go through the stages as far as importing my vfapi file
adjust my settings
hit encode and it just seems to hang there and do nothing
Am I doing something dumb or what ??

that guide misses some steps needed to do it correctly
dvd2avi (says nothing about option:force film or not)
doesnt explain any settings in cce you may need
zigzag or not changing time (some programs can change this afterwards)
dooms guides are much better

sorry if you disagree,

but I found that the guide helped me greatly, and I managed to get CCE to work first time with this guide , I have the guide from doom9 but I found this guide easier for newbies ,thats my opinion I only hope it helps , I dont have an axe to grind , I am only trying to help someone who is having difficulty with CCE as I did and this guide helped me, it may be used to compliment the doom9 guide and between the two he/she should get it to work, thats my goal:p
